hmmmm..I suggest coming down under during our autumn..which is your spring.
You still have the long days of summer and the heat isnt as hot and we're starting to have cooler nights now.
Sydney has loads of things to do from the harbour to the Blue Mountains but for the real tourist type destination then I recommend Brisvagas..erm sorry Brisbane, Queensland..lol Thats where all the theme parks are.
Go visit Uluru (Ayers Rock) in the centre of Australia. Snorkle the Great Barrier Reef in the Whitsunday's
But I suggest coming to my city - Newcastle. We dont have theme parks but we have the Vineyards up the valley, great beaches, whales and dolphins (seasonal migrations) and loads of easy tourist stuff that wont cost you a fortune to do.

I would love to come and see the whales and dolphins. I went to the Gulf of Mexico, but with all the recreational boats it is getting harder to see them.
My youngest niece recently went to San Diego and saw Dolphins in the harbor, They looked magnificent
